Hazardous fuels reduction in Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park

Feb 02, 2021 Lake Tahoe Basin

The Division of State Lands and USDA Forest Service (USFS) approved a participating agreement to reduce hazardous fuels along the Bon Pland drainage in Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park. The partnership with USFS will provide approximately $250,000 in funding through the Lake Tahoe Restoration Act by 2023 to support the 85-acre fuel break in the park. This project augments fuels reduction treatments completed in previous years from Sand Harbor north to Tunnel Creek.
