Now accepting grant applications for the Lake Tahoe License Plate Program

Sep 13, 2019 Lake Tahoe Basin

The Nevada Division of State Lands is accepting grant applications for the use of funds from the Lake Tahoe License Plate Program through November 8, 2019. Grants will be awarded on a competitive basis to public agencies and nonprofit organizations for projects or programs that promote the preservation and restoration of the natural environment of the Lake Tahoe Basin. Please see the attached announcement for more information. Application materials and guidelines can be found at http://lands.nv.gov/resource-programs/tahoe/water-quality/tahoe-license-plate-program.

With the passage of Assembly Bill (AB) 93 in May 2019, NDSL is able to provide LTLP program grants to nonprofit organizations as well as state and local government agencies. Prior to AB 93, LTLP funds were only available for projects completed by public agencies. This is a landmark change, as collaboration between state agencies, local governments, and nonprofit organizations is essential to continuing and expanding environmental improvement at Lake Tahoe.
